My name is Martina, and I have been an LMT since 2011. Let me start off by telling you a little about who I am and where I come from, if I may.
I am from Coon Rapids, Minnesota and moved to Oregon after graduating high School in 2002. I decided to move out here to be closer to family that had moved out here in the mid 1990's. I helped take care of my nieces and worked odd jobs for a while. In 2004 I attended Western Culinary Institute to become a pastry chef. After about 2 years of baking, I realized it was too hard on my back and not exactly what I was hoping it would be. I worked retail and at a call center. I was fed up, I hated my job, and felt I needed to be doing something more with my life than just working horrible minimum wage jobs that made me feel run down and depressed.
I decided to take a stand and change my life. I realized that nothing in life is easy and if I wanted something good to happen, I had to make it happen, so I did. With the loving support of my family and friends I went back to school in 2009 for the second time. I attended East West college of the Healing Arts. For just under 2 years I worked hard learning about how the human body moves and operates. By the end of my schooling I was confident I would make a difference in peoples lives. I took my Oregon board exams shortly after I graduated and passed with flying colors. Those were some of the hardest exams of my life and passing them was a HUGE relief.
I knew I wanted to work from home and not for someone else. I've worked for other people my whole life and to be quite honest I never liked it. I knew that if I worked for myself it would be hard struggle and take time to build my business. I won't lie, it's hard, it's very hard. However, the road to success isn't an easy one. It takes hard work and dedication to succeed and make your dreams come true, and I'm working hard to make that happen. By working from my home I am able to keep my costs low, and pass that savings on to my clients. I am able to provide a safe, soothing and relaxing atmosphere, where people can come in and be themselves, relax and feel safe. I'm still trying to build up my clientele and understand that some people may feel "weird" or "uncomfortable" going to a strangers house to get a massage. I can completely understand, but please let me assure you, that this is a very professional, warm and welcoming place.
I look forward to meeting new people, helping them heal, monitoring your progress and making you feel amazing. I offer specials and perks for loyal customers and for those that refer me. One thing I am certain of is that feeling good and taking care of yourself shouldn't cost you an arm and a leg. Feeling good and getting a massage is important and it should be affordable to everyone. I try hard to make that possible for everyone.
Thank you in advance for taking the time to get to know me and for your business. I am proud to be apart of this wonderful community and helping with my healing touch.
